MHR 9am Choir sing in Westminster Cathedral

On Saturday 25th October, the MHR 9am Choir made its first trip to sing in Westminster Cathedral since 2019 and were joined by a number of MHR parishioners for this enjoyable day in London. Conducted by the MHR Director of Music, Kathy Underhill, the Choir led a large congregation through all the music of the 6pm Mass in the Cathedral. The choral highlights were the Kyrie and Gloria from Mozart's Coronation Mass and two motets, Creator of the stars of night by Malcolm Archer and O for a closer walk with God by Charles Villiers Stanford. Cantor Bernadette Maskell from the Soprano section of the Choir sang the psalm and the organist was Alex Robson, the Organ Scholar at Westminster Cathedral.
